It is the responsibility of the practice as the Data Controller to upload a privacy policy.
This article will explain how to upload your Privacy Policy to your website.
We have created a blank page named "Privacy Policy" by default, which enables you to add your content in the Practice Policies section. By clicking on this page, you can add your content. If you prefer, we can also create a new page and link it to the Further Information menu at the bottom of your website.
Create a Page
Scroll to the bottom of your website, hover over the Further Information Menu, and select EDIT once the popup appears:
The menu will show on the left-hand side. Select Add New Menu Item:
If you already have a page created for your Privacy Policy, select the Page from the list of pages below. If you do not, Select New Page.
On the next screen, there are 3 steps:
- Enter a relevant Page Title such as "Privacy Policy"
- Set your page type to "Content"
- Press Save at the bottom
Make the Page Active and Press Save.
Your new page will load, allowing you to add your content. You'll also see the page is linked within the Further Information Menu:
To add your content, select Add Content Row, then press the + icon to Add a Widget
On the left-hand side, select Information as the type of widget. The widget will be added to the row, allowing you to hover over and press EDIT:
The editor will open, allowing you to add in your Privacy Policy information. If you have a document, it is recommended to paste the information from the document into the editor rather than upload a word or pdf document.

Once you have added your information, enable Make this widget visible and press Save. The page will refresh.
