Considerations/Prerequisites
In some regions the use of pop-ups is discouraged. The Userway Accessibility Widget is classified as such so you may need to carefully consider it's use.
Detail
- Your website contains by default an Accessibility statement. This relates to the features built into My Surgery Websites and is not editable. You can access this at any time via the link in the website footer.
- Additional accessibility features can be enabled via the Website Settings section of the website editor. Log in to your website editor and click the small grey arrow on the left to open the editor sidebar.
- Select Website from the Settings section in the sidebar.
- You can now choose to switch on or off various accessibility features.
a) Google Translate - allows your website pages to be automatically translated into other languages on the fly. Note: this function requires Functionality cookies to be enabled (see Cookies policy in your website footer).
b) Userway Widget - adds an accessibility icon to your website which opens a widget that allows users to alter text size, change contrast, add line spacing, and many more features.
c) BrowseAloud - now also known as Reachdeck, this activates a screen reader function. Note: this feature requires your practice to have subscribed to the 3rd party BrowseAloud/Reachdeck service.

Google Translate is not working
Ensure that you have functionality cookies enabled. You can check and change this at any time by clicking the Cookies link in the website footer.
BrowseAloud is not working
Ensure that you have an active subscription with the BrowseAloud/Reachdeck service and if you still have problems contact their support team.
