How do I setup Friends and Family Test?
Firstly we need to set up Friends and Family Test within FPMS.
1) Log into FPMS, click on the globe icon and choose Friends & Family Test
2) Click on the 'Actions' button on the top right and choose '+ New Test'
3) You will now see a page that looks like this:
4) Add a Test name and choose whether the FFT will be Active, Show on Website and Publish Responses
- Test Name - You will need to put in a name for the test.
- Active - This marks the FFT as active so it shows as open when patients fill it in.
- Show on Website - This marks the FFT as the one that is added to the website when you add the FFT widget.
- Publish Responses - Adds a 'View results here' button to the FFT widget. This will lead to a page that shows a bar graph and a table of the number of responses, as well as comments that you have chosen to publish. E.g. of how publish responses shows on the website
Tip - Question One is unable to be changed but Question Two can be reworded as this is the question that will give you your comments. We do have recommended wording already set on the question.
5) Once you are finished setting up your FFT click 'Save Test'
It will now appear in the menu like this
Some practices like to add more questions for patients to fill out within the FFT to gather more information. To add more questions:
1) Click on the name of the FFT you have now added under 'Test'
Tip - Change 'Publish responses' to No to add a question. You are unable to add questions when this is set to yes. This can then be changed back to Yes once all new additional questions are added.
2) Under Additional Questions choose 'Add Question'
3) Add the Question Text, Answer Type and Answers (if applicable)
The question layout will look like this:
Question Text - This is the wording of the question
Answer Type - There are 3 different types of answers
- One Answer - The question will have one tick box that patients can use. Question example:
- Multiple Answers - Multiple choice question. Each answer needs to be on a new line in the 'Answers' box. Question example:
- Free Text - Allows patients to type in their response. Question example:
4) Click Save and it will take you back to previous page. You will need to repeat steps 2-4 if you would like to add more than one additional question.
Tip - Any questions added will be marked as optional and patients will have to click on the 'Take the full questionnaire' link to answer them within the FFT Widget
How do I add the Friends and Family Test widget to the website?
Once you have the FFT set up within FPMS, we need to add it to the website so patients are able to enter responses. To do this you need to:
1) Choose where you'd like the FFT widget to go. You may need to add a new row first.
2) Click the + Icon on a row, choose 'Add widget' and select 'Friends & Family Widget'
3) Once added it will show as a greyed out version of the box. Hover the mouse over the box and choose 'edit' next to FFT Widget.

Your FFT will now be showing on the website.
